Compared to their urban counterparts, rural empty nesters face more life challenges and psychological stress, making their subjective wellbeing a significant issue. This study explores the impact of learning engagement on the subjective wellbeing of rural empty nesters in China, aiming to provide theoretical support and policy recommendations to enhance their wellbeing.

Background: Undergraduate nursing students are at risk of exposure to clinical related critical incidents. The impact on nursing students and the use of coping mechanisms and processes to make meaning of these distressing experiences are poorly understood.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to provide a theoretical understanding of the processes that undergraduate nursing students use to make meaning of clinical related critical incidents.
Refugee and non-refugee migrant youths may carry a double burden of past adversities and post-migration stress while trying to continue schooling and adapt to their new social and cultural environment. Executive functioning skills are central to learning and navigating in the new context. Knowledge of how young migrants' executive functioning is associated with stressful factors and positive or potentially protective factors, could contribute to understanding and possibly finding ways to support these young learners.
