Postoperative ileus, the temporary cessation of gastrointestinal motility leading to accumulation of fluid and gas in the bowel, is a common complication following posterior spine fusion (PSF) in patients with neuromuscular scoliosis (NMS). Abdominal radiographs (KUBs) are often ordered to differentiate between ileus and mechanical obstruction but expose patients to radiation, add cost, and may lead to unnecessary work up. The aim of this study was to determine how often KUBs led to a change in treatment after PSF in patients with NMS.

Objective: This case report aims to present a rare occurrence of fallopian tube prolapse into the vaginal vault following hysterectomy, underscoring the importance of recognizing this uncommon complication.
Case Report: A 45-year-old woman, with a history of hysterectomy for adenomyosis, presented with symptoms mimicking a vaginal tumor, including persistent discharge, abdominal pain, postcoital bleeding, and weight loss. Imaging raised concerns of malignancy, but surgery revealed a prolapsed fallopian tube with chronic inflammation.

BACKGROUND Vulvar melanoma during pregnancy is exceptionally rare. Hormonal and immunological changes in pregnancy have raised concerns about the potential for accelerated melanoma progression and poorer maternal outcomes. This case report describes an unusual presentation of vulvar melanoma in a pregnant patient, which rapidly progressed despite previous treatments, but resulted in a favorable fetal outcome.

Hydranencephaly (HE) is a severe and isolated malformation affecting the cerebral mantle. In this condition, the cerebral hemispheres are entirely or almost entirely absent, replaced by a membranous sac filled with cerebrospinal fluid, while the midbrain is usually preserved. Although HE is a relatively rare brain disorder, the differential diagnosis must include conditions such as severe hydrocephalus, porencephalic cysts, and alobar holoprosencephaly.
