This text presents complementary data corresponding to pharmacological and toxicological characterization of -(2,6-dichlorophenyl)-2-(4-methyl-1-piperidinyl)acetamide (LIA) compound. These data support our research article entitled "Pharmacological profile of -(2,6-dichlorophenyl)-2-(4-methyl-1-piperidinyl)acetamide, a novel analog of lidocaine" Déciga-Campos M., Navarrete-Vázquez G., López-Muñoz F.J., Librowski T., Sánchez-Recillas A., Yañez-Pérez V., Ortiz-Andrade R. (2016) [1]. Toxicity was predicted through the ACD/ToxSuite software and evaluated using brine shrimp larvae ( L.) and mice. Also, we used the micronucleus assay to determine genotoxicity. We used the platform admetSAR to predict absorption properties of LIA and lidocaine.

Primary human hepatocytes (PHHs) are the preferred cell source to address liver function. Despite originating from the native tissue, one of the bottlenecks when using primary material is the donor-to-donor variability. Cryopreserved PHHs offer a high number of cells from the same donor and standardization of cell isolation and cryopreservation procedures, mitigating some of the inter-donor variability.

The fetal brain is susceptible to programming effects during pregnancy, potentially leading to long-term consequences for offspring's cognitive health. Fructose intake is thought to adversely affect fetal brain development, whereas physical exercise before and during pregnancy may be protective. Therefore, this study aimed to assess biochemical and genotoxic changes in maternal hippocampi and behavioral, genotoxic, and biochemical alterations in offspring hippocampi.
