Introduction: Teamwork is often identified as being a core value in care work. Studies on this topic often focus on pluri-professional configurations, whereas mono-professional teamwork has not aroused the same interest. Marfan syndrome (MFS) is a heritable connective tissue disorder (HCTD) caused by pathogenic variants in FBN1 that frequently occur de novo. Although individuals with somatogonadal mosaicisms have been reported with respect to MFS and other HCTD, the overall frequency of parental mosaicism in this pathology is unknown. In an attempt to estimate this frequency, we reviewed all the 333 patients with a disease-causing variant in FBN1.

Purpose: This paper describes a first attempt to quantify LEMG data based on turn number calculation. The results obtained for both healthy and ailing thyroarytenoid (TA) muscles of patients with unilateral vocal fold immobility (UVFI) were compared with the respective qualitative evaluation concerning volitional activity to determine whether the two types of analyses deliver similar results.
Methods: LEMG data obtained from 44 adults with UVFI were considered for the study.

Background: The American Thyroid Association (ATA) sonographic patterns stratify the risk of malignancy of cytologically indeterminate thyroid nodules (ITNs). This study aimed to (1) assess inter-observer agreement for sonographic features and patterns; (2) identify potential sources of disagreement; and (3) evaluate whether the number of suspicious features risk-stratifies non-ATA and high-suspicion patterns.
Methods: Three observers independently reviewed the ultrasound images of 463 ITNs with histological follow-up consecutively evaluated between October 2008 and June 2015 at an academic cancer center.
