Herein we report the organoplatinum-mediated bottom-up synthesis, characterization, and properties of a novel large π-extended carbon nanoring based on a nanographene hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronene (HBC) building unit. This tubular structure can be considered as an example of the longitudinal extension of the cycloparaphenylene scaffold to form a large π-extended carbon nanotube (CNT) segment. The cyclic tetramer of a tetramesityl HBC ([4]CHBC) was synthesized by the reaction of a 2,11-diborylated hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronene with a platinum complex, followed by reductive elimination. The structure of this tubular molecule was further confirmed by physical characterization. Theoretical calculations indicate that the strain energy of this nanoring is as high as 49.18 kcal mol . The selective supramolecular host-guest interaction between [4]CHBC and C was also investigated.

Background And Objectives: Recent advances in multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have shown promise in medical image interpretation, yet their utility in surgical contexts remains unexplored. This study evaluates six MLLMs' performance in interpreting diverse imaging modalities for laryngeal cancer surgery.
Methods: We analyzed 169 images (X-rays, CT scans, laryngoscopy, and pathology findings) from 50 patients using six state-of-the-art MLLMs.

The cysteine-rich epidermal growth factor ligand domain 2 protein (CRELD2) is associated with pathways that regulate epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, a critical process driving cancer metastasis. This study aimed to determine the prognostic value of CRELD2 status on survival outcomes in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Seventy patients were included in the study.

The widespread adoption of high-resolution computed tomography (CT) screening has led to increased detection of small pulmonary nodules, necessitating accurate localization techniques for surgical resection. This review examines the evolution, efficacy, and safety of various localization methods for small pulmonary nodules. Studies focusing on localization techniques for pulmonary nodules ≤30 mm in diameter were included, with emphasis on technical success rates and complication profiles.

Neuroimaging studies have shown greater activation in the ventrolateral and dorsolateral pFCs when adults and adolescents reason about counterintuitive concepts, which has been interpreted as reflecting IC recruitment. However, the extent to which neural systems underlying IC support science and maths reasoning remains unexplored in children.
