Posturethroplasty sexual dysfunction (SD) is multifactorial and its true incidence is unknown. Even with the current evidence suggesting that it is uncommon, de novo SD causes dissatisfaction even after a successful surgery. Posterior urethroplasty carries the highest chance of SD, mostly attributable to the pelvic fracture itself rather than the urethroplasty. With anterior urethroplasty, transecting bulbar urethroplasty leads to greater SD compared with penile or nontransecting bulbar urethroplasty. Most patients with posturethroplasty SD recover within 6 months after surgery.

Increasing evidence supports the presence of oxytocin deficiency (OXT-D) in patients with hypopituitarism and hypothalamic damage (HHD), that might be associated with neuropsychological deficits and sexual dysfunction, leading to worse quality of life (QoL). Therefore, identifying a provocative test to diagnose an OXT-D will be important. Corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) is a candidate for such a test as it increases oxytocin secretion in animal models.

The present work focuses on the production of sildenafil co-evaporates loaded emulgels as topical dosage forms for the treatment of premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. Topical administration of sildenafil citrate (SILD) co-evaporates is expected to improve the bioavailability profile of the drug and to avoid the severe side effects accompanying the traditional SILD dosage forms, especially for prohibited cardiovascular cases. Firstly, the solubility of SILD was improved via solid dispersion via co-evaporation technique using PEG-5KDa and PVP-K90 as hydrophilic carriers.
