Onychomatricoma is a rare benign fibroepithelial tumour that originates from the nail matrix and can affect the nail bed of fingers and toes. Onychomatricoma may represent a premalignant lesion and although the etiology is still not fully understood, a previous finger trauma is considered the main predisposing factor. Unlike previous scientific articles we report a case of a "non traumatic" onychomatricoma in a 60 years old woman underlining the clinical and histological features to distinguish this uncommon lesion from other lesions originating from the nail apparatus.

A 10-week-old Yorkshire terrier had lameness of the right forelimb with complete lateral radioulnar luxation at the humerus, consistent with Type III congenital elbow luxation; this is rarely treated in the presence of multiple skeletal deformities. Lateral subluxation of the radial head at the left elbow was diagnosed as Type I congenital elbow luxation. Procurvatum, distal valgus, and external torsion were present in both antebrachiae.

Background: Few publications have assessed long-term results of distal locking of short endomedullary nails for extracapsular hip fracture. Virtually all of them focus on immediate differences. Criteria for the use of static or dynamic locking are unclear in most nailing systems, and use is advised in unstable fracture patterns or with risk of bell-clapper effect, but often influenced by the "orthopaedic school".

This is the second report of an atypical peri-implant femoral fracture occurring at the distal screw after intramedullary nail fixation of a pertrochanteric fracture. A 94-year-old Japanese female with a 5-year history of alendronate intake presented with prodromal pain in her right thigh after intramedullary nail fixation. Plain radiographs showed an incomplete noncomminuted transverse fracture at the distal screw, suggesting an atypical peri-implant femoral fracture.

Introduction: The rate of nonunion of operatively treated fractures of humeral shaft is low. Increased incidence of nonunion is associated with different conditions such as open fractures, bone loss, or fracture gapping. Nonunions after prior intramedullary nailing can be difficult to address, even more with hardware failure.
