Stability and release properties of CO-α-cyclodextrin complex powder prepared by solid encapsulation (water activity, a ≈ 0.95) followed by moisture removal using silica gel and CaCl desiccants during post-dehydration were investigated. The results showed that CaCl reduced a much faster than silica gel did under the same conditions. After approximately 60 h, a of complex powders reduced using silica gel was almost constant at 0.247 (±0.012), while those treated with CaCl, a was 0.225 (±0.005) and had not yet reached their lowest value. Moisture adsorption by silica gel and CaCl also led to a decrease in the CO concentration of complex powder (higher decrease for silica gel adsorption) without affecting the structure and morphology of complex powder. The CO release properties of CaCl-a-reduced complex powder at different relative humidities (32.73, 52.86, 75.32 and 97.30% RH), liquid environments (water and oil) and packaging methods (normal and vacuum) were also studied.

Solid waste is one of the primary contributors to environmental pollution currently, it is crucial to enhance the prevention and control of solid waste pollution in environmental management. The effectiveness of the second stage of purification in the industrial zinc hydrometallurgy is determined by the concentration of cobalt ion. Manual testing and monitoring of cobalt ion concentration are time consuming and costly, and prone to delays, which can result in discharge of cobalt ion concentration that does not meet the standards, leading to water pollution.

In addition to the inherent limitations of carbons to melt or flow, a vast majority of carbon precursors deforms during carbonisation, with stereolithography of thermoset resins being the preferred technology for 3D printing of carbons. An alternative is now presented with the possibility of using a melting-based technology, selective laser sintering (SLS), to fabricate 3D structures that withstand carbonisation. The key factor that makes this happen is whey powder, a natural, abundant and cheap by-product of the dairy industry.

This study systematically reviewed the literature on the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer(CRC) with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), aiming to present a more intuitive and concise overview of existing evidence. Four major Chinese databases, including CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, and SinoMed, were searched for randomized controlled trial(RCT) on TCM treatment of CRC. The retrieval period was from database inception to August 1, 2023.

Although eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) as a functional fatty acid has shown significant benefits for human health, its susceptibility to oxidation significantly limits its application. In this study, we developed a nanoemulsion of the lactoferrin (LTF)-EPA complex and conducted a thorough investigation of its macro- and molecular properties. By characterizing the emulsion with different LTF concentrations, we found that 1.
