In this article, a DPPH·-luminol chemiluminescence (CL) system was reported and the CL mechanism was discussed according to the CL kinetic properties after sequence injecting DPPH· into the DPPH·-luminol reaction mixture. It was observed that scutellarin could inhibit the CL response of the DPPH·-luminol system. Based on this observation, a simple and rapid flow injection CL method was developed for the determination of scutellarin using the inhibition effect in alkaline medium. The optimized chemical conditions for the CL reaction were 5 × 10  mol/L DPPH· and 1.0 × 10  mol/L luminol in 0.01 mol/L NaOH. Under optimized conditions, the CL intensity was inversely proportional to the concentration of scutellarin over the ranges 5-2000 and 40-3200 ng/ml in pharmaceutical injection and rat plasma, respectively. The limits of detection (S/N = 3) were 5 and 40 ng/ml in preparations and rat plasma, respectively. Furthermore, the precision, recovery and stability of the validated method were acceptable for the determination of scutellarin in both pharmaceutical injections and rat plasma. The presented method was successfully applied in the determination of scutellarin in pharmaceutical injections and real rat plasma samples.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of pre-conditioning exercise on body lipid metabolism, leptin secretion, and the downstream pathways at the early stage of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Materials And Methods: The T2DM model was established using an 8-week high-sugar, high-fat diet combined. The T2DM model was established using an 8-week high-sugar, high-fat diet combined with streptozocin (STZ) injection.

Objective: This study aims to explore the role of estrogen in providing cardioprotective benefits to premenopausal women, examining how hormonal differences between sexes influence the prevalence of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) in women.

Materials And Methods: Eighteen female Wistar rats were equally distributed into three treatment groups. Animals in Group I (sham-operated) and Group II (ovariectomized [OVX]) received oral saline solution at a dose of 2 mL/kg.

Cota is a lipidated dual GLP-1 and Glucagon receptor agonist that was investigated for the treatment of various metabolic diseases, it is designed for once daily subcutaneous administration. Invasive daily injections often result in poor patient compliance with chronic disease, and here, we demonstrate an innovative strategy of encapsulating reversible cota self-assembled fibers within an in-situ forming depot of low molecular weight poly(lactic-co-glycolic) acid (LWPLGA) for sustained delivery GLP-1 and Glucagon receptor agonist with controlled burst release. This could be a suitable alternative to other sustained delivery strategies for fibrillating peptides.

This study aimed to investigate the digestion and absorption properties of caprine milk serum proteins in comparison to human and bovine species by using rat pups to mimic preterm infants. The results indicate that caprine lactoferrin (LTF) had a shorter retention time in the intestine and released a greater number of fragments, resembling human milk LTF more closely. In contrast, caprine immunoglobulins (Igs) were similar to bovine Igs and both exhibited a longer retention time in the intestine.
