Background: Achieving bony union in scaphoid nonunion fractures is challenging. Various bone grafts have been studied using headless compression screws (HCS) fixation. However, the impact of bone graft choice on bone healing with volar locking plates (VLP) use is less clear.

Objective: Type IV fragility fractures of pelvis (FFP IV) are serious and complicated and the treatment is challengeable. Robotic-assisted minimally invasive triangular fixation (RoboTFX) is a new and advanced technique to treat this injury. The objective of this report is to evaluate the clinical outcomes of FFP IV treated with RoboTFX.

Titanium miniplates and screws are commonly used in the surgical management of dentofacial deformities. Despite the opinion of the biocompatibility of these bone fixations, some patients experience symptoms of chronic inflammation around titanium implants even many years after their application. The aim of this study was to examine the levels of cytokines, chemokines, and growth factors released from the maxilla and mandible periosteum surrounding titanium fixations 11 months after the implantation procedure.

Favipiravir, a high dose antiviral drug effective for oral treatment for COVID-19, with poor water solubility is formulated using a simple, low-cost melt coating and granulation methodology. High-dose (82.5 % w/w API) tablets (600 mg and 800 mg) with desired release profiles are developed while minimizing excipient burden.

Background: The anatomy of the proximal tibia presents treatment challenges, and there is currently no widely accepted surgical fixation method for fractures in this region. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, benefits, and differences between intramedullary nailing (IMN) with a 4-hole Limited Contact Dynamic Compression Plate (LC-DCP) combination and IMN with an 8-hole LC-DCP combination in unstable fractures of the proximal metaphyseal region of the tibia.

Methods: An oblique fracture was created in the metaphyseal region, forming a 30-degree angle in the sagittal plane in three tibial models.
