Two new xanthones, gambogollic acid (1), epigambogollic acid (2), together with three rare compounds, gambogellic acid (3), epigambogellic acid (4) and gambogic acid (5), were isolated from the processed gamboge. The new structures were determined by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic analysis. And the cytotoxicity of these five compounds was evaluated against human hepatoma carcinoma and human lung adenocarcinoma cell. Two new compounds showed excellent antitumor activity. All five compounds exhibited inhibitory effect against SMMC-7221cell and A549 cell.

Objective: This study aims to synthesize eco-friendly zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) by utilizing leaf extract and assess the characteristics of ZnO NPs produced throughout different calcination temperatures (300°C, 400°C, 500°C, and 600°C).
Materials And Methods: An evaluation was conducted to analyze ZnO NPs using an aqueous extract of leaf bioreductor at different calcination temperatures. The analysis involved the use of a particle size analyzer (PSA), a scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy.
Chemoresistance encountered using conventional chemotherapy demands novel treatment approaches. Asplatin (Asp), a novel platinum (IV) prodrug designed to release cisplatin and aspirin in a reductive environment, has demonstrated high cytotoxicity at reduced drug resistance. Herein, we investigated the ability of green-synthesized nanocarriers to enhance Asp's efficacy.

This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the current literature on the anti-cancer properties of α-mangostin across various cancer types.
The value chain analyses of a product can provide vital information for improving the production, value addition, market organization and boost the contribution of the product to the income of the stakeholders involved. Hence, this study was carried out on the value chain in Belabo, Cameroon. Twenty-three focus group discussions were held, and semi-structured surveys were administered to 135 stakeholders engaged in the value chain in the Belabo municipality.
