As nurses we are familiar with the concept of 'self-care' as defined by Orem ( 2001 ) and Henderson and Nite ( 1978 ): people have a need to care for themselves. But when a disease or disability limits a person's independence, nurses could support the person to regain some control over their situation.

Advances in semiconductor technology have been primarily driven by exponentially reducing the size of silicon transistors and pushing the quantum limit. However, continued scaling becomes extremely difficult in accordance with Moore's law. Conversely, recent advances in monolithic and heterogeneous integration by exploring non-group IV materials envision beyond CMOS scaling.

Intensively studied polymeric particle production technologies often rely on the combination of polymer self-assembly and particle processing techniques. Herein, an elegant crystallization transition-mediated strategy is proposed to confine molecular self-assembly within a limited range, avoiding the need for extra particle processing steps. This approach enables the production of the regenerated nanofibrous chitin clusters woven with the helical nanofibers.

Metacognition and facial emotional expressions both play a major role in human social interactions [1, 2] as inner narrative and primary communicational display, and both are limited by self-monitoring, control and their interaction with personal and social reference frames. The study aims to investigate how metacognitive abilities relate to facial emotional expressions, as the inner narrative of a subject might project subconsciously and primes facial emotional expressions in a non-social setting. Subjects were presented online to a set of digitalised short-term memory tasks and attended a screening of artistic and artificial stimuli, where their facial emotional expressions were recorded and analyzed by artificial intelligence.
