To analysis of high-risk HPV infection and cervical cytologic screening in HIV positive women, and to study the relationship between HIV infection and high-risk HPV infection. From June 2011 to May 2016, 58 cases of HIV positive women in Beijing Ditan Hospital for cervical screening were selected as the experimental group, and 59 cases of HIV negative women were selected as control group, thin-prep cytologic test(TCT)and HPV detection were used in two groups of subjects. The abnormal rate of TCT and the incidence rate of HPV were observed in the two groups, the relationship between HIV infection and HPV infection was analyzed. TCT abnormal rate(91.4%, 53/58)of the experimental group was obviously higher than that of the control group(45.8%, 27/59), with statistically significant(χ=12.365, =0.036). High-risk HPV infection incidence(34.5%, 20/58)of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(16.9%, 10/59), with traditional significance(χ=10.359, =0.041). CD T lymphocytes and CD/CD ratio of high-risk HPV positive patients had significant difference with high-risk HPV negative patients(χ=10.378, =0.042; χ=9.245, =0.045). The proportion of different AIDS clinical stages of high-risk HPV positive patients had obvious difference with high-risk HPV negative patients(<0.05). HIV positive women maybe have a large proportion of abnormal TCT and the infection with high-risk HPV, and infection of high-risk HPV in HIV positive women has relationship with CD T lymphocytes, CD/CD ratio and AIDS clinical stage.

Objective: We attempted to evaluate the immediate high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion-cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2/3 or worse (HSIL-CIN2+/3+, hereafter referred to as CIN2+/3+) risk of specific human papillomavirus (HPV) genotype and form the precise risk-based triage strategy for atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASC-US) women.

Methods: The clinical data of ASC-US women who underwent HPV genotyping testing and colposcopy were retrospectively reviewed. The distribution and CIN2+/3+ risks of specific HPV genotype were assessed by three approaches.

Importance: As US health care systems shift to human papillomavirus (HPV)-based cervical cancer screening, more patients are receiving positive high-risk non-16/18 genotype HPV results and negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy (NILM) cytological findings. Risk-based management guidelines recommend 2 consecutive negative annual results to return to routine screening.

Objective: To quantify patterns of surveillance testing and associated outcomes for patients after an HPV-positive results and NILM cytologic findings.

Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is an uncommon aggressive neoplasm, usually arising in sun-exposed skin of the head and neck. By immunohistochemistry, KRT20 and MCPyV positivity are found in about 90% and 80% of MCCs, respectively. Noteworthy, viral status in lip/oral cavity MCCs is poorly known.

High-risk human papillomavirus E6 oncoprotein is a model system for the recognition and degradation of cellular p53 tumor suppressor protein. There remains a gap in the understanding of the ubiquitin transfer reaction, including placement of the E6AP catalytic HECT domain of the ligase concerning the p53 substrate and how E6 itself is protected from ubiquitination. We determined the cryoelectron microscopy (cryo-EM) structure of the E6AP/E6/p53 complex, related the structure to in vivo modeling of the tri-molecular complex, and identified structural interactions associated with activation of the ubiquitin ligase function.

Verruca vulgaris is a cutaneous infection predominantly caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) type 1, 2, and 4. In immunocompromised individuals infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, HPV leads to a higher prevalence of infections and also has a greater likelihood of being infected with atypical types such as genital-associated HPV in extragenital sites. This case report describes a 48-year-old male patient who presented with skin-colored verrucous papules on the hands and feet, with no evidence of genital lesions.
