Endometriosis is a benign gynecologic disease, characterized by the presence and growth of functional endometrial-like tissue outside uterus. This ectopic endometrial tissue is most commonly found in the peritoneum, ovaries and uterosacral ligaments, but extremely rarely there is involvement of the appendix or cecum. Here we report a case of cecal endometriosis presenting as a subepithelial tumor diagnosed by surgical excision.

We present а rare clinical case of successful surgical treatment - combined left-sided hemicolectomy and cecal resection for colon cancer of two locations in a patient with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, which, in our opinion, is due to radiation exposure is presented. It is shown that the biological effects of long-term ionizing radiation on critical organs can have a diverse nature both in terms of the time of occurrence and in their structure, which requires an individual approach, the involvement of related specialists and the necessary medical preoperative preparation for precise planning of surgical intervention taking into account all possible risks.

This report describes a unique case of an osseous choristoma in a 63-year-old male with an unusual posterior tongue location. An incidental base of tongue (BOT) mass was discovered during a bronchoscopy for lung biopsy.

Effective closure of both muscular and mucosal defects after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) remains a technical challenge. Failure to adequately address such defects may increase the risk of delayed perforation. In this video case report, we demonstrate the application of the through-the-scope (TTS) tack system for defect closure following ESD in a patient with a cecal lesion.
