Wunderlich syndrome is a rare condition characterised by acute spontaneous non-traumatic renal haemorrhage into the subcapsular and perirenal spaces. Our case of anti-GAD65-associated autoimmune encephalitis (AE), aged 30 years, developed this complication following use of enoxaparin and was managed by selective glue embolisation of subsegmental branches of right renal cortical arteries. Our case had opsoclonus as one of the clinical manifestations, which has till now been described in only two patients of this AE.

Although there is a remarkably high risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) during pregnancy and postpartum, a cautious approach is needed while initiating therapeutic and prophylactic anticoagulant therapy. The merits of heparin for thromboprophylaxis in postpartum patients are exaggerated, and its risk is generally overlooked. This study aimed to report the inappropriate use of anticoagulants in postpartum patients.

Enoxaparin is one of the most commonly used anticoagulants in the management of thromboembolic events. Herein we report a unique case of enoxaparin induced eruptive angiokeratomas in a patient with a history of ischemic cardiomyopathy who presented with acute decompensated heart failure and a new-onset generalized skin rash that bleeds on trauma, suggestive of angiokeratomas. Dermoscopic examination, as well as skin biopsy, were done upon clinical suspicion of eruptive angiokeratomas, to confirm the diagnosis.
