We present a concept to modulate near infrared photoluminescence (NIR-PL) from locally-functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes (local-f-SWNTs) based on a molecular recognition approach using newly synthesized phenylboronic acid (PB)-functionalized local-f-SWNTs (PB-SWNTs) and saccharides, in which a selective PL spectral shift is observed by addition of the saccharides.

Lead-free double perovskite (DP) materials have garnered growing interest because of their outstanding optoelectronic attributes. Nevertheless, realizing efficient, multimodal photoluminescence (PL) with adjustable emission spectra within single-host DP materials still poses a formidable hurdle. Herein, Er-based lead-free DPs (CsNaErCl) were developed, which achieves downshift (DS) emissions from visible to near-infrared (NIR) and multicolor upconversion (UC) emissions, resulting from the abundant energy levels of Er ions.

Excited-state intramolecular double proton transfer (ESDPT) has long been a subject of attention due to its crucial role in both fundamental exploration and designing related functional materials. In this work, the static and dynamical characterization from first-principles are performed to reveal the ESDPT mechanism of DHNA-2, a molecule designed based on 1,8-dihydroxy-2-naphthaldehyde (DHNA). The modification could provide easier ESDPT with favorable thermodynamics.

Passive radiative cooling technology provides a sustainable thermal management strategy for outdoor workers under extremely hot environments. However, daytime radiative cooling textiles typically appear white or mirror-like due to the near-complete reflection of sunlight, which poses a significant limitation for outdoor applications where visual aesthetics are important. Herein, we designed colored photoluminescent radiative cooling (CPRC) metafabrics, which are woven from carbon-dot-based coaxial porous fibers, to achieve effective radiative cooling without sacrificing color aesthetics.

We present a conjugated copolymer designed as a near-infrared (NIR) emitter for organic light-emitting diodes (NIR-OLEDs). The low bandgap donor-acceptor copolymer, comprising a terthiophene derivative (3T) and benzothiadiazole (BT), is end-capped with bulky triphenyalmine (TPA) groups (3TBT-TPA). Compared with the parent homologue capped with simple phenyl rings, 3TBT-TPA shows enhanced solubility in organic solvents with improved photoluminescence quantum yield thanks to a reduced close packing of chains.

An assessment of the anticancer activity of Glutaraldehyde-crosslinked Naringenin-loaded Albumin Nanoparticles (GNANPs) against gastric cancer cells was the purpose of this study. The increasing prevalence of gastric cancer and the limitations of conventional therapies necessitate novel approaches that combine targeted drug delivery with therapeutic efficacy. Several techniques were used to characterize the synthesized GNANPs, including UV-visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and photoluminescence (PL).
