Studies employing Snethl leaves have shown great potential in regard to their antiviral activity, mainly related to the phenolic compounds present in this species. The main goal of this work is to combine the therapeutic potential of this species with new technological strategies targeted at the development of an herbal nanoparticulate system for the preparation of a phytotherapeutic formulation. Poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanoparticles containing the enriched flavonoid fraction of Snethl were developed through a study for the choice of preparation technique, amount of drug and surfactants used. These nanostructured systems were characterized by particle size, polydispersity, zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency and drug-loading capacity. A stability study of the formulations was conducted at room temperature over a period of 60 days. The optimal formulation that best fit the characteristics of the encapsulated material was determined. Sorbitan monooleate and the poloxamer 188 resulted in better colloidal stability, added to the organic and aqueous phases, respectively. These findings suggest that in the field of nanoparticles stability, it is important to evaluate the composition of the nanoparticulate system. This work highlights the importance of the optimization process, searching for a good formulation with suitable structural stabilization.

Background: Amalgamation of metal-tolerant plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) with biochar is a promising direction for the development of chemical-free biofertilizers that can mitigate environmental risks, enhance crop productivity and their biological value. The main objective of the work includes the evaluation of the influence of prepared bacterial biofertilizer (BF) on biometric growth parameters as well as physiological and biochemical characteristics of rapeseed ( L.) at copper action.

Natto is a fermented product derived from soybeans through the action of Bacillus subtilis natto, possessing various pharmacological and health-promoting properties. However, due to the absence of large-scale and systematic investigations into its metabolite profile, the mechanisms governing the biological functions and flavor characteristics of natto remain incompletely elucidated. In this study, a comprehensive, widely targeted metabolome analysis was conducted using UHPLC-MS/MS to compare soybeans and natto.

is an important medicinal plant, rich in flavonoid, with various pharmacological activities such as stomachic and antioxidant properties. In this study, we integrated metabolome and transcriptome analyses to reveal metabolite and gene expression profiles of both green (GDd) and purple-red (RDd) of semi-annual and annual stems. A total of 244 flavonoid metabolites, mainly flavones and flavonols, were identified and annotated.

This study presents the development of an analytical characterization strategy tailored to end products derived from an alfalfa ()-based biorefinery with particular emphasis on protein concentrates and phenolic-enriched fractions. Our approach began with a comprehensive full-factorial experimental design aimed at optimizing the extraction process, taking care to design a biocompatible extraction protocol. Liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) techniques were used to characterize the molecular profile of the extracts.
