During cold acclimation in high-latitude and high-altitude regions, japonica rice develops enhanced cold tolerance, but the underlying genetic basis remains unclear. Here, we identify CTB5, a homeodomain-leucine zipper (HD-Zip) transcription factor that confers cold tolerance at the booting stage in japonica rice. Four natural variations in the promoter and coding regions enhance cold response and transcriptional regulatory activity, enabling the favorable CTB5 allele to improve cold tolerance.

Aim: This integrative review explores the transition to practice experiences of graduate nurses working in either acute or non-acute paediatric settings across different countries.
Background: Graduate nurses frequently experience feelings of inadequacy, uncertainty, increased accountability, and workload pressures during their transition, particularly in paediatric settings. However, research specifically examining their experiences in paediatric healthcare is limited, with most studies focusing on broader nursing contexts.

Endoscopic management of benign pancreaticobiliary disorders encompasses a range of procedures designed to address complications in gallstone disease, choledocholithiasis, and pancreatic disorders. Acute cholecystitis is typically treated with cholecystectomy or percutaneous drainage (PT-GBD), but for high-risk or future surgical candidates, alternative decompression methods, such as endoscopic transpapillary gallbladder drainage (ETP-GBD), and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided gallbladder drainage (EUS-GBD), are effective. PT-GBD is associated with significant discomfort as well as variable adverse event rates.

Resilient mounts play a vital role in anti-vibration and shock-absorption systems, making precise estimation of their static and dynamic stiffness essential for ensuring optimal mechanical performance and effective design. This study investigates the behavior of resilient mounts by analyzing their static and dynamic stiffness characteristics through the application of various hyperelastic constitutive models. Seven hyperelastic models were reviewed and systematically compared using numerical simulations, experimental data, and analytical solutions.

The increasing challenge of marine biofouling, mainly due to barnacle settlement, necessitates the development of effective antifoulants with minimal environmental toxicity. In this study, fifteen derivatives of brusatol were synthesized and characterized using C-NMR, H-NMR, and mass spectrometry. All the semi-synthesized compounds obtained using the Multi-Target-Directed Ligand (MTDL) strategy, when evaluated as anti-settlement agents against barnacles, showed promising activity.
