In 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reintroduced Alzheimer's disease and related dementias to its risk-adjustment payment model for Medicare Advantage (MA) plans. Using 2017-20 data for 100 percent of community-dwelling beneficiaries enrolled in Medicare, we evaluated how the reintroduction of dementia to the risk-adjustment model affected rates of new (incident) dementia diagnoses among beneficiaries enrolled in MA relative to those enrolled in traditional Medicare. These individuals are particularly relevant to the ongoing debates about under- and overdiagnosis of ADHD, as their claims to the diagnosis influence and mirror societal perceptions of what is considered normal and what is seen as a condition. Despite their symptoms not strictly meeting diagnostic criteria, thus risking overdiagnosis and associated psychiatric labeling, they perceive themselves as distinct from 'normal' people.

Introduction: A significant proportion of newly diagnosed prostate cancer (PCa) cases are slow growing with a low risk of metastatic progression. There is a lack of data concerning the optimal biopsy regimen for improving diagnosis yield in PI-RADS3 lesions. This study aimed to assess the diagnostic value of current biopsy regimens in PI-RADS 3 lesions and identify clinical predictors to improve clinically significant PCa (csPCa) detection.

Amblyopia is a common eye disease that seriously affects children's eye health. The Chinese Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus has carried out a lot of work for the prevention and treatment of amblyopia, but there are still many problems that need to be paid attention to and solved in the amblyopia screening and clinical diagnosis and treatment. In this article, we discuss three aspects of the amblyopia prevention and treatment, including the timing of prevention and treatment according to visual developmental patterns, the standardized treatment of amblyopia, overdiagnosis and commercialization, and the establishment of an efficient amblyopia screening system, for providing guidance for the standardization of clinical practice and improving the level of amblyopia prevention and treatment in China.
