Knowledge of the different anatomical variations in root canal system of dedicious dentition will improve the practice of the pediatric dentists. The teeth with C-shaped root canal configurations are definitely a problem in endodontic treatment. Dentists who are specialists of endodontics must have adequate knowledge about various root canal morphologies of primary tooth that have a tendency for rapid progression of dental caries to achieve a technically satisfactory outcome. This report presents an extraordinary case of unusual tooth morphology involving the mandibular first primary molar with a C-shaped configuration which has not yet been reported.

Design: The study is a prospective, double-blinded randomised control trial that compares the mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and Biodentine as the pulp space barrier material after induction of a periapical blood clot by over-instrumentation for endodontic regeneration in single-rooted mature permanent anterior tooth (closed apex) with apical periodontitis (periapical pathology of more than 3 mm) and having necrosed pulp. A total of 36 patients were included in the study and after randomisation were allocated equally to both the groups out of which 31 patients returned for follow-up over an 18-month period. The treatment protocol consisted of two separate appointments.

Lateral lumbar interbody fusion(LLIF), including extreme lateral interbody fusion(XLIF) and oblique lateral interbody fusion(OLIF), constitute a treatment option for many lumbar disorders that predominantly cause degenerative disc disease. LLIF is beneficial for managing conditions, such as lumbar spondylolisthesis, degenerative disc disease, and adult spinal deformities. LLIF is preferred for enabling indirect decompression of the spinal canal and nerve root foramen, without inducing immediate postoperative damage to the peri-vertebral tissues.

Hydraulic redistribution (HR) is a critical ecological process whereby plant roots transfer water from wetter to drier soil layers, significantly impacting soil moisture dynamics and plant water and nutrient uptake. Yet a comprehensive understanding of the mechanism triggering HR and its influencing factors remains elusive. Here, we conducted a systematic meta-analysis to discuss the influence of soil conditions and plant species characteristics on HR occurrence.

Purpose: Lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) is a frequently occurring condition defined by narrowing of the spinal or nerve root canal due to degenerative changes. Physicians use MRI scans to determine the severity of stenosis, occasionally complementing it with X-ray or CT scans during the diagnostic work-up. However, manual grading of stenosis is time-consuming and induces inter-reader variability as a standardized grading system is lacking.
