Pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNETS) are common intracranial tumors, but extrasellar or ectopic PitNETS are very rare and supposed to originate from some pituitary remnants. They are mostly found in sphenoidal sinus. But particularly, ectopic clival PitNETS are highly aggressive and can cause bone invasion and can be misdiagnosed as other lesions of the skull base such as chordomas.

Background And Objectives: Aggressive resection for primary tumors of the spine are associated with a high rate of adverse events (AEs), but the impact of AEs on patient-reported outcomes (PROs) remains unknown and is critical to the shared decision-making. Our primary objective was to assess the impact of surgical AEs on PROs using an international registry. Assessing the impact on clinical outcomes and identifying risk factors for AEs were our secondary objectives.

Objective: CSF fistulas are the weak spots of transnasal endoscopic and microsurgical skull base approaches. An autologous fat graft is considered the best substrate for clival dural reconstruction via transnasal approaches. However, potential gravitational displacement of the graft may result in CSF leakage.

Chordomas are a low-to-intermediate-grade slow-growing subtype of sarcoma, but show propensity to grow and invade locally with recurrence and metastasis in 10-40% of cases. We describe the first case of spontaneous regression of a solid tumor (histologically and immunohistochemically proven chordoma) after COVID-19. A female patient with clival chordoma underwent occipitocervical fixation prior to tumor resection.

The sacrum can harbor a diverse group of both benign and malignant tumors, including metastases. Primary tumors of the sacrum can arise from bone, cartilage, marrow, notochordal remnants, or surrounding nerves and vessels. Among a variety of primary tumors of the spine, chordoma, germ cell tumors and Ewing's sarcoma are recognized for their propensity to occur in the sacrum.
