The scope of management of malignant gastric outlet obstruction is ever-expanding. The therapeutic use of endoscopy is gaining popularity not just owing to its technical advancement and satisfactory patient outcomes. Introduction: Missouri's Medication First ("MedFirst") approach promotes same-day and long-term low-threshold access to medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). Since 2017, Missouri's SAMHSA-funded State Targeted and State Opioid Response (STR/SOR) grants have supported MedFirst services (both medical and psychosocial) for uninsured individuals with opioid use disorder at state-contracted treatment programs. Introduction: Despite the rising global awareness and improvement of socioeconomic and living standards, the prevalence of diabetic osteomyelitis (DOM) and its complications has been increasing rapidly. This study aims to investigate the long-term prognosis of DOM of the foot treated using antibiotic-impregnated cement spacer (ACS) and the contributing risk factors for reoperation.
Methods And Materials: We retrospectively reviewed the data of 55 diabetic patients with Meggitt-Wagner Grade IIB wounds diagnosed with osteomyelitis of the foot, treated in our institution with excessive debridement, excision of the infected tissue, and implantation of antibiotic-impregnated cement spacer fixed with a Kirschner wire.

Background: Proper positioning of a total hip arthroplasty (THA) plays a crucial role in the success and long-term survivorship of the implant. Cup positioning within the Lewinnek Safe Zone (LSZ) does not, however, avoid implant dislocation. Thus, the concept of a functional cup position has been introduced.

Background And Hypothesis: In accordance with the Cognitive Model of Negative Symptoms, defeatist performance beliefs (DPBs) are an important psychosocial mechanism of negative symptoms in schizophrenia-spectrum groups. DPBs are also mediators of negative symptom improvement in clinical trials. Despite the clinical significance of DPBs and their inclusion as a mechanism of change measure in clinical trials, the psychometric properties of the DPB scale have not been examined in any schizophrenia-spectrum group.
