Background: The present study examined OSA using an objective home sleep test in 81 adults with DS (aged 25 ∼ 61 years) and evaluated associations between sleep-disordered breathing problems and biomarkers of AD pathology (PET Aβ and tau) and symptomology (cognitive performance and depressed mood).
Method: As part of the ABC-DS study, participants completed a 2.5-hour battery of cognitive measures and underwent MRI and PET imaging scans and a blood draw.
Background: Previous studies have demonstrated that PNI can predict the prognosis of gastric cancer (GC) patients. However, few studies have focused on the auxiliary role of miRNA in predicting the prognosis of GC.
Objective: This research seeks to clarify the role of the combined use of miR-132-3p and PNI in predicting the prognosis of GC patients.
Background: Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is considered as a transitional state between age-related cognitive decline and dementia. Accurate prediction of those at risk of MCI is important for timely intervention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease. In this study, we show that incorporating the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC) Uniform Data Set (UDS) with rich resources from Electronic Health Records (EHR), including comorbidities and medication histories, can achieve higher prediction accuracy, compared to using only one resource.

Unlabelled: A weight-bearing lateral radiograph (WBLR) of the foot is a gold standard for diagnosing adult-acquired flatfoot deformity. However, it is difficult to measure the major axis of bones in WBLR without using auxiliary lines. Herein, we develop semantic segmentation with a deep learning model (DLm) on the WBLR of the foot for enhanced diagnosis of pes planus and pes cavus.

Background/aim: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is often complicated by sarcopenia, a condition of reduced muscle mass and function that adversely affects quality of life, lung function, and exacerbation rates. Ultrasonography could be an effective tool for detecting sarcopenia, notably by assessing diaphragmatic function, which may indicate muscle health in COPD patients. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of diaphragmatic ultrasound in detecting sarcopenia among COPD patients.
