Littering of public areas is a significant problem worldwide. Here we evaluate the success of persuasive and demonstrative messages at reducing littering in highly visited river beaches in Argentina. We made an intervention at the beaches which consisted of a personalized verbal request asking visitors to take their litter to the waste cans (persuasive message) while they were exposed to the example of picking up the litter already left on the beach (demonstrative message). We conducted 102 observations distributed over 29 dates, two years and four beaches. Each observation consisted of three or four rounds: before the presence of visitors we cleaned the beaches, during the stay of visitors we made the intervention (once or twice) in two out of the four beaches, and early next morning we estimated the amount of litter left per beach. Litter weight ranged from 0 to 53gvisitorday. Littering per visitor was reduced an average of 35% due to the intervention (p=0.049). We also found differences among beaches (p=0.001), and an increase in littering with crowding (p=0.005). We show for the first time that the personalized request combined with the example of picking up litter is effective in reducing littering in a Latin American country.

A substantial portion of the literature investigating whether playing video games with violent content causes aggressive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors has relied on experimental exposure to video game violence. To date, there is significant evidence suggesting these concepts are positively related, while other experiments demonstrate a null effect. A potential explanation for these contradicting findings is a failure to account for confounding such as video game performance and video game experience.

Background: Although proper latrine utilization is one of the best ways to reduce the risk of infection, it remains a challenge in the majority of rural communities in developing countries such as Ethiopia. Studies have demonstrated the link between individual behavior and latrine use, but there is a paucity of evidence on individual risk perception, perceived social pressure norms, social identity, and perceived ability, which plays an indubitable role in health and behavior change, especially in rural communities.
Objective: This study aimed to identify contextual and psychosocial factors associated with latrine utilization among rural communities in Lomabosa district, Ethiopia.

Background And Purpose: Glyphosate-based herbicides, extensively utilized worldwide, raise concerns regarding potential human risks due to the detection of glyphosate (GLY) in human body fluids. This study aims to address critical knowledge gaps regarding whether GLY undergoes metabolism in humans, particularly considering the limited information available on human metabolism.
Experimental Approach: The study investigated GLY and its metabolites in eight amenity horticultural workers using proton nuclear magnetic resonance (H-NMR) data analysis.

Background: The repair of skin defect wounds is a long-term goal of clinical pursuit. Currently, free or pedicled skin flap transplantation is commonly used to repair skin defects. However, these methods may lead to complications such as flap necrosis, thrombosis, scarring, diminished sensation, and pigmentation in both the donor and recipient areas.
