The precise control of crystallization is a key issue in providing a high quality crystalline product. It has to be achieved by, among other means, a proper choice of the solution processing temperature, which is determined on the basis of the metastable zone width and type of solubility curve. In this article experimental data for potassium chloride solution density, as a function of temperature and its correlation in the range from under- to supersaturation, are reported for solution concentrations between 24.62 % w/w and 31.84 % w/w. As could be expected in the case of undersaturated solutions and low supersaturation, the temperature dependence of density for solutions of different saturation may be described by a linear equation within the investigated range of concentrations. It was also proved that for the undersaturation range there exists a pole point, which allows calculation of the saturation temperature, based on the density measured at any temperature.

Magnetic field-dependent magnetization of highly crystalline FeO magnetic nanoparticles has been carried out to understand surface canting structures at low and room temperatures. The exchange bias () values of ∼18 to 27 Oe at 300 K for three samples prepared from different precursors are observed; and a decrease in value is obtained when the samples are measured at 5 K. However, with a decrease in temperature, coercivity () increases.

Developing high-performance alloys is essential for applications in advanced electromagnetic energy conversion devices. In this study, we assess Fe-Co-Ni alloy compositions identified in our previous work through a machine learning (ML) framework, which used both multi-property ML models and multi-objective Bayesian optimization to design compositions with predicted high values of saturation magnetization, Curie temperature, and Vickers hardness. Experimental validation was conducted on two promising compositions synthesized using three different methods: arc melting, ball milling followed by spark plasma sintering (SPS), and chemical synthesis followed by SPS.

The thermal conductivity of liquid -1,2-dichloroethene (R-1130(E)) was measured at temperatures ranging from 240 K to 340 K and pressures up to 25 MPa using a transient hot-wire instrument. A total of 447 thermal conductivity data points were measured along six isotherms. Each isotherm includes data at nine pressures, which were chosen to be at equal density increments starting at a pressure of 0.

Extensive research on ultrashort laser-induced melting of noble metals like Au, Ag and Cu is available. However, studies on laser energy deposition and thermal damage of their alloys, which are currently attracting interest for energy harvesting and storage devices, are limited. This study investigates the melting damage threshold (DT) of three intermetallic alloys of Au and Cu (AuCu, AuCu and AuCu) subjected to single-pulse femtosecond laser irradiation, comparing them with their constituent metals.

Organic-inorganic hybrid ferroelectric compounds of the halobismuthate family have emerged as a focal point of research owing to their reduced toxicity and distinctive optical characteristics. This study presents a novel ammonium hybrid perovskite, [BPMBDMA]·[Bi2Br9], which exhibits both ferro- and piezoelectric properties and crystallizes in the polar noncentrosymmetric 2 space group. The nonlinear optical (NLO) activity of [BPMBDMA]·[Bi2Br9] was corroborated through second harmonic generation measurements evidencing its noncentrosymmetric structure, which was further substantiated by piezoresponse force microscopy analyses.
