Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) significantly affects social interactions and emotional well-being. Following COVID-19, there has been growing interest in how individuals with TBI use online social media groups for support. In this article, we examine the clinical encounters of people diagnosed with a severe mental illness (SMI). Drawing on more than 1-year of ethnographic research and interviews in Indonesia, we show that instances of moral self-reflection occurring in the process of acquiring and appropriating clinical insight emerge at the intersection of heterogeneous discursive regimes. When biomedical notions of health and illness dominate these discourses, they reimagine pre-existing notions about spirituality and religion.

Inconsistent use of the Dutch terms 'zorg op maat' (customised care) and 'passende zorg' (appropriate care) in healthcare-, policy- and political discourse in the Netherlands makes them unclear umbrella terms and causes confusion and annoyance among many involved. 'Zorg op maat' and 'passende zorg', originally meant 'providing care according to the wishes and care-related possibilities of the individual patient', but now mainly concern the approaching financial limits of the healthcare-system. 'Passende zorg' has also become a key concept in the marketing strategy of healthcare organizations as a management instrument.

Despite the prominence of international discourses on sexual and reproductive health and rights, much remains to be done to meet both needs and wants of individuals, couples and families. Socioeconomic disparities and geographic differentials, compounded by inappropriate policies besides resource constraints, hbave hampered the achievements of these rights to the extent that, in many jurisdictions, access to quality sexual and reproductive health services continues to be a privilege for some as opposed to a right for all. A rights-based approach, accompanied by appropriate policy formulation and sustained advocacy for resource mobilisation, can promote equity through community acceptance and individual behaviour change.
