An 8-month-old neutered male ferret was presented for vaccination and preventive treatment for adrenal gland disease. Abdominal ultrasound revealed severe bilateral hydronephrosis and hydroureter. Excretory urography and negative contrast cystography showed bilateral ureterovesical junction stenosis. Positive retrograde cystography demonstrated right ureteral reflux. A subcutaneous ureteral bypass was placed in the left kidney; however, it had to be removed 3 months later due to an obstruction and persistent urinary tract infection. Bilateral ureteroneocystotomy was performed. Although congenital strictures are uncommon in veterinary patients, they should be included in the differential diagnosis in ferrets presenting with hydronephrosis and hydroureter of undetermined cause.

Objective: Polypoid endometriosis is a rare mass-like variant of endometriosis. Mass-like content with indistinct margins between the uterus and pelvic side wall mimics characteristics of pelvic malignancy. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) has also been associated with higher incidences of endometriosis.

Purpose: To describe and develop predictors for spontaneous resolution of primary obstructive megaureter (POM) from early ultrasound measures.
Materials And Methods: Children referred to our institution between 2007 and 2023 for POM were reviewed. POM was defined as hydroureteronephrosis with ureteral dilation > 7 mm.

Different abdominal organs can herniate into the inguinal canal, including the small bowel, colon, appendix, ovaries, and, less commonly, the urinary bladder and fallopian tubes. Herniation of the ureter within an inguinal hernia is a very rare occurrence. To the best of our knowledge, less than 150 cases have been reported in the literature, including only 15 pediatric cases.

Background: Children with vesicoureteral reflux (VUR), particularly high-grade VUR, are known to be at increased risk for urinary tract infection (UTI). Current guidelines highlight certain clinical factors in the management of children with VUR; however, the clinical utility of upper tract dilation in the setting of VUR remains unclear.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate risk factors for febrile UTI (fUTI) in children with primary VUR in a modern cohort with emphasis on upper tract dilation parameters, including hydronephrosis and hydroureter.
