Introduction: The purpose of this clinical study was to compare the accuracy of working length (WL) determination using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), conventional periapical radiographies and electronic apex locator.
Methods And Materials: This study was conducted during root canal treatment of 19 patients with a total of 30 single-rooted teeth diagnosed with apical periodontitis. After taking the initial parallel periapical radiographies, the initial file was advanced into the canal until the WL was detected by the apex locator. Subsequently, the WL was measured and WL radiographies were taken with the file set in the canal. Afterwards, CBCT images were acquired. These three measurements were tabulated and compared and the data were analyzed using the Friedman test. The level of significance was set at 0.05.
Results: The mean values for WL determination by electronic apex locator, periapical radiograph and CBCT images were 22.25, 22.43 and 22.65, respectively which was not statistically significant (P>0.05).
Conclusion: Working length determination using CBCT images was precise when compared to radiographic method and electronic apex locator.

Statement Of Problem: Endodontically treated teeth often require post-and-core restorations for structural support because of extensive hard tissue loss. Assessment of the effect of the residual dentin thickness on the biomechanical performance of these restorations is lacking.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the residual dentin thickness in mandibular premolars after post-and-core restorations using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and to analyze the stress distribution with finite element analysis (FEA).

Floodplains function as global hotspots for the natural production of methane. Some of this methane can be oxidized by methanotrophic bacteria and assimilated into their biomass before reaching the atmosphere. Consequently, aquatic invertebrates that feed on methanotrophic bacteria may transfer methane-derived carbon to higher trophic levels in the aquatic food chain.

This study assessed the influence of anthropogenic short-term nutrient enrichment (hereafter enriched) effects on seagrass population dynamics (recruitment, growth rate and mortality), morphometric traits, productivity, and leaf biodiversity assemblages in the islands of Andaman and Nicobar (ANI) of India and contrasted these findings with away from these enriched areas (hereafter pristine). Seagrass (Thalassia hemprichii and Cymodocea rotundata), and sediment samples were collected in the dry season (October-May) of ANI. Reconstruction techniques, an indirect measurement of plant growth was used to derive leaf plastochrone interval (PI), i.

Background: Subtrochanteric proximal femoral fractures are generally treated with cephalomedullary nail fixation. We aimed to compare outcomes of subtrochanteric fracture fixation using a single lag screw (Gamma3 nail, GN) or dual lag screw (INTERTAN nail, IN) device.
Methods: The primary outcome measure was mechanical failure, defined as lag screw cut-out or back-out, nail breakage, or peri-implant fracture.

2-methylguanosine is an eukaryote-specific modified nucleoside in transfer RNAs, and mG10 is catalyzed by Trm11-Trm112 protein complex in eukaryotic tRNAs. Here, we show that loss-of-function mutation of the Arabidopsis Trm11 homolog AtTRM11 resulted in mG deficiency associated with disturbed ribosome assembly and overall transcriptome changes, including genes involved in flowering regulation and plant-pathogen interaction. The attrm11 mutant showed phenotypes of enlarged rosette leaves and early flowering, as well as enhanced resistance to Pseudomonas bacterial infection.
