Aim Of Study: Novel biomarkers for improving accuracy could be beneficial for disease monitoring and surveillance of Non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (NHL). So we explored the viability of analytical methods for identifying the rearranged immunoglobulin (Ig) H genes sequence.
Materials And Methods: Next-generation sequencing (NGS) was used to sequence deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) extracted directly from the tumor tissues of patients with NHL, and then specific rearranged DNA fragments from plasma was detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
Results: By parallel DNA capturing and sequencing of IgH genomic regions (IgCap), the sequence of rearranged IgH loci could be detected and precisely determined in tumor tissues of 12 patients with NHL. The circulating rearranged DNA fragments had been identified in the plasma of one patient.
Conclusion: IgCap may be the favorable diagnostic method for patients with NHL in clinical.

Background: Concurrent ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and acute ischemic stroke (AIS) are extremely rare, and their management remains perplexing due to the absence of high-quality evidence and limited resources. For the first time, we report a rare, preventable, and suboptimally managed case of concurrent AIS and STEMI in a patient with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) who received cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisolone (CHOP) chemotherapy.
Case Presentation: A 59-year-old postmenopausal woman of African origin with a background history of type 2 diabetes mellitus presented to the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute with sudden onset of left-sided weakness and typical ischemic chest pain for 3 days.

Preface And Importance: Burkitt's lymphoma (BL) is a relatively rare post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD), and there is currently limited research on the occurrence of BL following adult liver transplantation.
Case Introduction: We report a 45-year-old male who developed BL that rapidly progressed at seven years after left liver transplantation. The patient eventually abandoned treatment due to severe clinical complications.

Purpose: The association between statin use and cancer survival has been investigated in previous studies with conflicting findings. This study aimed to assess the association between statin use following cancer diagnosis and survival in six common cancers using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER)-Medicare database.
Methods: Individuals aged ≥ 66 years diagnosed with prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, bladder cancer, pancreatic cancer, or non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) from 2008 through 2017 were identified.

Objective: This study assessed the relevance of auditory brainstem response (ABR) thresholds in evaluating cochlear implantation (CI) candidacy by studying their correlation with functional hearing in patients with sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL).
Design And Study Sample: In this retrospective study, we examined correlations between ABR thresholds, speech perception scores in quiet and pure-tone audiometry in 191 adults. We compared these correlations between individuals with different degrees of SNHL to discern differences in potential CI candidates and individual with less severe SNHL.

Background: Recent findings point to the key role of cathepsin S (CTSS) in the survival of malignant cells, as well as the significance of the anti-apoptotic properties of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) that contribute to enhanced cell survival. The purpose of this study is to analyse CTSS as a potential biomarker in lymphoma. Also, in order to better understand the role of CTSS in the origin and development of lymphoma, its association with cystatin C (Cys C), lipids, and inflammatory markers was analysed.
