The 5,5'-(4,4'-(9,9-dioctyl-9H-fluorene-2,7-diyl)bis(4,1-phenylene))bis(2-hexylthieno[3,2-b]thiophene) FCBT (6) was synthesized by connecting the fluorenyl, thienothiophenyl and phenyl units. The compound was characterized by FT-IR, H1NMR, C13NMR and mass spectroscopy. The compound has shown good solubility and thermal stability over 417 degrees C. The compound has shown hole mobility of 4.76 x 10(-6) cm2Ns. The on-off ratio and threshold voltage were 7.5 x 10(2) and -8.26 V respectively.

A novel monomer, 9-bis[4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl]fluorene di(mercaptopropionate), with a highly refractive index, purity, and excellent UV-curable properties, is synthesized through an optimized Fischer esterification process, reacting 9,9-bis[4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl]fluorene with 3-mercaptopropionic acid. The structural characterization of this monomer is performed using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, high-performance liquid chromatography, and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. The synthesis conditions are optimized using a design-of-experiments approach.

Perovskite X-ray detectors are recognized as the most promising candidates for low-dose detectors due to their superior performance. However, it is still full of challenging in the fabrication of flat-panel X-ray imagers (FPXIs), primarily due to the absence of large area thick films that exhibit high uniformity and long-term performance stability. A general synthesis route is urgently needed to grow large-scale halide perovskite thick films directly on a pixeled thin-film transistor (TFT) backplane with high uniformity, closing the gap between the great potential of perovskite X-ray detectors and their entry into the market.
