Background: Drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE) secondary to hypothalamic hamartoma (HH) often requires surgical resection or stereotactic radiosurgery, which frequently fail to provide satisfactory outcomes and are associated with severe side effects. Magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) may represent a minimally invasive surgical approach to HH by offering precise thermal ablation of sub-millimetric brain targets while sparing surrounding structures.

Methods: We present the case of a 19-year-old man with HH-associated DRE, who was successfully treated with MRgFUS.

Purpose: Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is known to provide predictors for malignancy and treatment outcome. The inclusion of these datasets in workflows for online adaptive planning remains under investigation. We demonstrate the feasibility of longitudinal relaxometry in online MR-guided adaptive stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) to the prostate and dominant intra-prostatic lesion (DIL).

The authors present a comprehensive review on the history and development of oncolytic herpes simplex viral therapies for malignant glioma with a focus on mechanisms of delivery in prior and ongoing clinical trials. This review highlights the advancements made with regard to delivering these therapies to a highly complex immunologic environment in the setting of the blood brain and blood tumor barrier in a safe and effective manner.

Background: Manual contour corrections during fractionated magnetic resonance (MR)-guided radiotherapy (MRgRT) are time-consuming. Conventional population models for deep learning auto-segmentation might be suboptimal for MRgRT at MR-Linacs since they do not incorporate manual segmentation from treatment planning and previous fractions.

Purpose: In this work, we investigate patient-specific (PS) auto-segmentation methods leveraging expert-segmented planning and prior fraction MR images (MRIs) to improve auto-segmentation on consecutive treatment days.

Background: It is a technical challenge to monitor ablation outcome during magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) treatment using non-gadolinium technique. The study aimed to investigate the value of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) for immediately assessing nonperfused area of adenomyosis after MRgFUS treatment.

Methods: We retrospectively included patients with adenomyosis who underwent MRgFUS ablation and underwent both DWI (b=800 sec/mm) and contrast-enhanced (CE) magnetic resonance (MR) imaging within 15 minutes after treatment.
