Pilomatrix carcinoma (PC) is a rare malignant adnexal tumor originating from follicular matrix cells primarily impacting Caucasian males. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of scientific literature on PC through an exploration of 206 cases reported between 1980 and 2024. We discuss the epidemiology, clinical presentation, histopathology, and diagnostic challenges of PC, and explore various treatment methods for this rare malignancy as well as their associated outcomes.

This meta-analysis aimed to assess the impact of genetic mutations, particularly in the NOTCH2 and TNFAIP3 genes, on the prognostic outcomes of Marginal Zone Lymphoma (MZL) patients. Gynecological masses can range from functional ovarian cysts and tubo-ovarian abscesses to malignant and benign tumors. This case report presents a mucinous borderline ovarian tumor (BOT), a rare type of ovarian neoplasm.

adnexal tumors are recently named tumors of the female adnexal region, associated with Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS). There is a lack of studies on the clinical phenotypes of PJS concerning the pathology and molecular characteristics of adnexal tumors. We searched for 781 relevant studies through PubMed and Web of Science, and preliminary statistical and grouping comparisons were made using the screened study data combined with our patient.
