Aim: Analysis of epidemic manifestations of natural-foci infections (NFI), clarification of spectrum of their causative agents, determination of epizootic activity of natural foci in the Crimea Federal District (KFD).
Materials And Methods: Epizootologic examination of 10 administrative districts of KDF was carried out. 291 pools (2705 specimens) of ixodes ticks and 283 samples of organs of small mammals were studied by PCRmethod for the presence of DNA/RNA of causative agents of a number of NFI.

Study Objective: To provide an effective radiation hygienic inspection and population protection from ionizing radiation in the late period after the Chornobyl NPP (ChNPP) accident within reforming of the state sanitary & epidemiological supervision services.
Materials And Methods: The radiation hygienic monitoring (RHM) is performed in Ukraine within the scope of state sanitary & epidemiologic supervision by 158 radiological subdivisions of the sanitary & epidemiological station (SES). The structure of these subdivisions has been created taking into account the territorial regional bounds, a presence of radiological supervision services and ChNPP accident consequences.

Operation experience of specialized anti-epidemic brigades (SAEB) for the support of sanitary-epidemiologic welfare during various emergencies is presented. The order of functioning and SAEB objectives during mass events is examined. Analysis of exercise of Stavropol Institute of Plague Control SAEB was carried out, proposals for augmentation of SAEB equipment table by instruments and reagents for indication and genotyping of pathogen strains are examined.

Just after the First World War, when Poland received independence, activity of sanitary-epidemiological service was included as the most important in the country. In this time epidemiological situation of infectious diseases was unsuccessful, especially concerning typhus exantematicus, typhoid fever, dysentery, diphtheria, tuberculosis. National Central Epidemiological Institute and since 1923 National Institute of Hygiene together with filias in some voivodships up to 1954 were appointed as sanitary epidemiological service especially to control the infectious diseases.
