Therapy recommendations of relatives of individuals with psychotic disorders. A total of n = 52 inpatient relatives were interviewed about their attitude towards psychotherapy and antipsychotics. Over 80 % of the relatives recommended psycho- and pharmacotherapy. Concerns reduced recommendations for pharmacotherapy, poor/lack of hope for improvement reduced recommendations for psychotherapy. The relatives' therapy recommendations could be influenced by discussing their concerns and expectations of success.
