A lithopedion is a rare complication of pregnancy that occurs when a fetus in an intraabdominal location dies, and it is too large to be reabsorbed by the body. The case was an 87-year-old woman, and she was transferred to the morgue department in April 2014 to determine the cause of death. During autopsy, an intraabdominally located calcified dead fetus and a 12-cm diameter calcified cyst in the right ovary were incidentally detected. It was aged 25 to 29 weeks (according to femur and humerus measurements) with a size of 12.5 × 8 × 5 cm and a weight of 227 g. According to investigation reports, her husband died in 1990, and she had 3 deliveries, the most recent of which was in 1946. Because the menopause age of the case was not exactly known, the retention time of the lithopedion was supposed to be 24 to 68 years according to the date of the most recent pregnancy and the date of her spouse's death. It is the first case that has been incidentally detected and identified during an autopsy in Turkey and also one of the oldest cases in the literature.

Introduction: Mucinous appendiceal neoplasms are unique tumors in which >50 % of the tumor volume is composed of extracellular mucin. They may present as an unruptured mucin-filled appendix or, more commonly, with peritoneal metastases after rupture or transmural invasion of the primary tumor. This case report describes a case of presumed ovarian malignancy with final pathologic diagnosis of low grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasm.

In the evaluation of a patient's primary hematologic malignancy, positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) imaging may incidentally detect a concerning abnormality suggestive of a second concurrent cancer. Despite accounting for nearly 10% of all cancers diagnosed in Canada, there has yet to be a systematic review focused on the prevalence and significance of these incidental PET/CT findings in the context of primary hematologic malignancies. As such, a systematic search strategy was employed on MEDLINE and Embase to document the prevalence and clinical significance of incidental PET/CT findings suggestive of a second concurrent cancer detected in patients evaluated for their primary hematologic malignancy.

Intracranial cystic lesions such as hemangioblastoma (HB) are commonly found incidentally; however, they can be difficult to diagnose because they require various differential diagnoses. A contrast-enhanced mural nodule on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is typical and can be diagnosed preoperatively; however, some small nodules cannot be visualised and only cysts may be seen, complicating preoperative diagnosis. In such cases, thorough observation of the cysts is necessary for a definitive diagnosis.
