Introducing an experimental technique of time-resolved inelastic neutron scattering (TRINS), we explore the time-dependent effects of resonant pulsed microwaves on the molecular magnet CrFPiv. The octagonal rings of magnetic Cr atoms with antiferromagnetic interactions form a singlet ground state with a weakly split triplet of excitations at 0.8 meV.

Innovative strategies such as HIV self-testing (HIVST) are useful for identifying hard-to-reach people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV), especially in developing settings where considerable gaps still exist in reaching the first 95% UNAIDS target. We evaluated the effectiveness of HIVST in Cameroon using several distribution models and investigated the predictors of HIV seropositivity among self-testers. Despite recent advancements in organic phosphors, the synthesis of monodisperse afterglow microparticles (MPs) suitable for creating photonic crystals remains challenging. The SiO matrix is an attractive host material for activating the long-lived emissions of doped molecules due to several factors, including its cross-linked polymer-like structure, abundance of -OH groups, robustness, and presence of numerous emitter defects. However, the Stöber method struggles to produce monodisperse molecule-doped SiO MPs due to the complexity of the system.

Bacteria genetically engineered to execute defined therapeutic and diagnostic functions in physiological settings can be applied to colonize the human microbiome, providing in situ surveillance and conditional disease modulation. However, many engineered microbes can only respond to single-input environmental factors, limiting their tunability, precision, and effectiveness as living diagnostic and therapeutic systems. For engineering microbes to improve complex chronic disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease, the bacteria must respond to combinations of stimuli in the proper context and time.
