Radon (Rn) and thoron (Rn) were reported as the highest contributors to natural radiation received by humans. Furthermore, radon has been stated as the second-highest cause of lung cancer. The concentrations of U and Th (the parent nuclide of radon and thoron, respectively) in nature vary with geological conditions and can be enhanced by human activities.

Lipid metabolism disorders are frequently noted in atopic dermatitis (AD) patients, prompting the long-term use of lipid-lowering drugs. However, the causal effects of circulating lipids and different lipid-lowering drugs on the risk of AD are not thoroughly understood. Using publicly available genome-wide association studies (GWAS) summary data from two different cohorts, a series of Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses were conducted to explore the causal effects of genetically proxied circulating lipids and lipid-lowering drugs on the risk of AD.

Background And Objective: Uremic pruritus is a persistent condition that is difficult to cure in patients with end-stage renal disease who are having regular dialysis. It is highly prevalent, and current therapies have limited effectiveness and can cause significant adverse effects. Several trials have provided evidence that difelikefalin can be an effective treatment for uremic pruritus, with few side responses.

Background: The recent advent of anti-IDH therapies and changes in the WHO classification of gliomas implies estimating the number of patients who could benefit (or not) from anti-IDH treatment. As published data on the current incidence of different subtypes of IDH-mutant gliomas (based on the latest histomolecular WHO classification) are lacking in many countries. The present analysis aims to review the main factors impacting the incidence of gliomas and lower-grade gliomas and to estimate the incidence and prevalence of IDH-mutant gliomas in France.
