Objective: To quantify treatment preferences for food allergy management options (oral immunotherapy, biologic therapy, and allergen avoidance), overall and by sociodemographic strata.
Methods: A US general population (≥13 years) discrete choice experiment (DCE) conducted comprised of 12 treatment-feature focused DCE choice sets; the Intolerance of Uncertainty─12 Scale (IUS-12); and clinical/demographic questions. Conditional logistic regression analyses were conducted overall and by age, income, urbanization, educational attainment, food and other sociodemographic factors, and presented as odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a significant global health issue, often linked to diabetes, hypertension, and glomerulonephritis. However, aggregated statistics can obscure heterogeneity across subtypes, age, gender, and regions. This study aimed to analyze global CKD trends from 1990 to 2021, focusing on age, gender, socio-demographic index (SDI), and regional variations.

Swine influenza A viruses (swIAVs) are a major cause of respiratory disease in pigs worldwide, presenting significant economic and health risks. These viruses can reassort, creating new strains with varying pathogenicity and cross-species transmissibility. This study aimed to monitor the genetic and antigenic evolution of swIAV in France from 2019 to 2022.

Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA)-associated vasculitides are a group of rare diseases that cause inflammation of small to medium vessels. They comprise granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA), microscopic polyangiitis (MPA), and eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA). As the signs and symptoms are varied, the diagnosis of vasculitis is complex and challenging; however, there are type-specific clinical presentations that can be factored into the existing classification criteria.

Introduction: The initial 24-h period following admission to a hospital holds profound significance for pediatric patients, representing a critical window where proactive interventions can substantially influence outcomes. We devised a simple triage system, pediatric simple triage score (PSTS), to see whether rapid triage of sick pediatric patients with fever can be done using the new triage system in the emergency department (ED) to predict hospital admission.
Methods: This was a prospective observational study, conducted at the department of emergency medicine of a tertiary care teaching hospital in southern India.
