Echographic examination for leg vein thromboembolism was carried out in 123 patients scheduled for thoracic surgery. Preventive measures for thromboembolism were conducted after the risk assessment. Echography was done after surgery in 72 cases, most of which were cases of lung malignant tumors, and thromboembolism was detected in 4 cases. Thus, the incidence rate of venous thromboembolism was 5.6%( 4/72). There was no patients who developed pulmonary thromboembolism during the examination period, suggesting reasonable risk assessment and preventive measures in our procedure.

Some technical limitations to using the eccentric mode to measure peak eccentric strength of the hamstrings (PTH) were raised. PTH also has limited validity to predict performance or injury risk factor. Therefore, our aim was to compare PTH and other isokinetic variables tested in the eccentric and passive modes.

Introduction And Importance: The estimated incidence of congenital dislocation of the knee, also referred to as genu recurvatum, is approximately 1 in 100,000 live births. The purpose of this report is to present a rare case of unilateral congenital knee dislocation, highlighting the clinical presentation and management.
Case Presentation: A 9-day-old female infant was born to a 30-year-old primigravida mother following an uncomplicated term pregnancy of 39 weeks and 4 days.

Intradural lumbar disc herniation (ILDH) is a very rare condition, with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage as a postoperative complication. The central canal of the conus medullaris was reported to communicate with the subarachnoid space through a caudal aperture; however, this aperture has never been observed in vivo. Herein, we report a case of L1/2 ILDH with postoperative spinal adhesive arachnoiditis and syringomyelia in which the communication considered to be a caudal aperture was detected.

Background: While the associations between pediatric non-obese metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) and multiple diagnostic biomarkers are well-established, the role of a broader range of blood-based, urine-based, and body composition-based biomarkers for monitoring MAFLD are needed.
Methods: A pediatric cohort was established in Wuxi, China. We measured body composition biomarkers, blood-based and urine-based biomarkers, and liver stiffness in participants to diagnose MAFLD and identify alternative and novel potential biomarkers for MAFLD.
