Endometriosis (EM), a chronic inflammatory condition predominantly affecting women of reproductive age, has been linked to an elevated risk of thrombosis, though its underlying molecular mechanisms remain incompletely understood. In this case-control study, involving 71 EM patients and 71 matched controls, we explored the structural and functional changes in fibrinogen and their potential role in thrombosis. Key oxidative stress markers, such as reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in blood lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes, along with plasma lipid peroxidation markers and total antioxidant capacity, were measured.

D-dimer, a byproduct of cross-linked fibrin degradation, arises during the fibrinolysis process, breaking down blood clots in circulation. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to synthesize evidence of D-dimer alteration in people with malaria, including variations in disease severity. The systematic review was registered in PROSPERO with registration number CRD42024528245.

Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) is associated with the transient activation of a systemic inflammatory response. Fibronectin (FN), an endogenous inflammatory mediator, is a key component of the extracellular matrix. This study aimed to detect changes in cellular and plasma FN levels, as well as its potential fragmentation or FN-fibrin complex formation, in 40 patients undergoing CABG with CPB.

Background: One-third of patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis undergoing cytoreductive surgery with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS-HIPEC) present alterations in conventional coagulation test results. However, perioperative coagulation has not been systematically investigated in these patients. This study aimed to investigate hemostatic changes in such patients.
