Objective: To study the ethyl acetate-soluble chemical constituents of Callicarpa kwangtungensis.

Methods: The chemical constituents were isolated by column chromatography on silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and MPLC. Their chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of special analysis.

Results: Eleven compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate-soluble part of Callicarpa kwangtungensis, whose structures were elucidated as 4-methoxybenzoic acid (1), 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid (2), 4-hydroxy cinnamic acid(3), phenyl-β-D-glucopyranoside (4), 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), 2α,3β,22β,23-tetrahydroxyursolic-12-en-28-oic acid (6), 2α,3β,6β,19α-tetrahydroxy-urs-12-en-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (7), 2β,3β,6β,16α-tetrahydroxy-olean-12-en-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (8), (3S, 6E, 10R)-10-β-D-glucopyranosyloxy-3,11-dihydroxy-3,7,11-trimethyldodeca-1,6-diene (9), icariside C5(10), and (2E, 6E)-10-β-D-glucopyranosyl-1, 11-dihydroxy-3, 7, 11-trimethyldodeca-2,6-diene (11).

Conclusion: Compounds 4 - 11are isolated from Callicarpa genus for the first time, compounds 1 - 3 are isolated from this plant for the first time.

Aim Of The Study: This study investigated the mechanism by which the Postoperative Tongqi Formula (PTQF) treats postoperative ileus (POI) through regulation of the p38 MAPK signaling pathway, Zona occludens 1 (ZO-1) protein, and metabolism.

Methods: The primary components of PTQF were characterized using UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS. The identified compounds subsequently employed network pharmacology to predict the signaling pathways associated with the inflammatory phase of POI.

Organic compounds containing azines, di-imines, or bis-Schiff-bases have two azomethine (-CH=N-) functional groups associated with a bridging component. These constituents have attracted attention from a diversity of disciplines, comprising coordination, medicinal, agriculture chemistry, and organic synthesis, because of their comprehensive chemical reactivity and nature. This study determines common synthetic approaches and various biological and pharmacological activities of several substituted bis-Schiff byproducts.

Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease that primarily manifests with symptoms such as heat and toxin. However, the key components and molecular mechanisms of Zhizi Baipi decoction (ZBD) in the treatment of RA are still unclear.

Objectives: The study aimed to explore the mechanism of action of ZBD for treating RA through ingredient analysis, network pharmacology, and experimental validation.
