Thermococcus thioreducens DSM 14981, a sulfur-reducing archaeon, was isolated from the rainbow hydrothermal vent site on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Herein, we report the draft genome sequence of T. thioreducens DSM 14981; we obtained 41 contigs with a genome size of 2,052,483bp and G+C content of 53.5%. This genome sequence will not only help understand how the archaeon adapts to the deep-sea hydrothermal environment but also aid the development of enzymes that are highly stable under extreme conditions for industrial applications.

Enhancer RNA (eRNA) has emerged as a key player in cancer biology, influencing various aspects of tumor development and progression. In this study, we investigated the role of eRNAs in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), the most common subtype of renal cell carcinoma. Leveraging high-throughput sequencing data and bioinformatics analysis, we identified differentially expressed eRNAs in KIRC and constructed eRNA-centric regulatory networks.

Background: Mucopolysaccharidosis type I (MPS I - IDUA gene) is a rare autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disorder. Clinical symptoms, including visceral overload, are progressive and typically begin postnatally. Descriptions of hepatosplenomegaly associated with lysosomal pathology are uncommon during the prenatal period.

Background: The evolution and development of flowers are biologically essential and of broad interest. Maize and sorghum have similar morphologies and phylogeny while harboring different inflorescence architecture. The difference in flower architecture between these two species is likely due to spatiotemporal gene expression regulation, and they are a good model for researching the evolution of flower development.

Background: Tea-oil Camellia within the genus Camellia is renowned for its premium Camellia oil, often described as "Oriental olive oil". So far, only one partial mitochondrial genomes of Tea-oil Camellia have been published (no main Tea-oil Camellia cultivars), and comparative mitochondrial genomic studies of Camellia remain limited.
Results: In this study, we first reconstructed the entire mitochondrial genome of C.

Background: Despite the rapid advancement of high-throughput sequencing, simple sequence repeats (SSRs) remain indispensable molecular markers for various applied and research tasks owing to their cost-effectiveness and ease of use. However, existing SSR markers cannot meet the growing demand for research on lotus (Nelumbo Adans.) given their scarcity and weak connections to the lotus genome.
