Peanut is a vital source of protein, particularly in the tropical regions of Asian and African countries. About three-quarters of peanut production occurs worldwide in arid and semi-arid regions, making drought an important concern in peanut production. In the US about two-thirds of peanuts are grown in non-irrigated lands, where drought accounts for 50 million USD loss each year.

The discovery of circulating fetal and tumor cell-free DNA (cfDNA) molecules in plasma has opened up tremendous opportunities in noninvasive diagnostics such as the detection of fetal chromosomal aneuploidies and cancers and in posttransplantation monitoring. The advent of high-throughput sequencing technologies makes it possible to scrutinize the characteristics of cfDNA molecules, opening up the fields of cfDNA genetics, epigenetics, transcriptomics, and fragmentomics, providing a plethora of biomarkers. Machine learning (ML) and/or artificial intelligence (AI) technologies that are known for their ability to integrate high-dimensional features have recently been applied to the field of liquid biopsy.

High-resolution insights into the nucleotide arrangement within an organism's genome are pivotal for deciphering its genetic composition, function, and evolutionary trajectory. Over the years, nucleic acid sequencing has been instrumental in driving significant advancements in genomics and molecular biology. The advent of high-throughput or next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies has revolutionized whole genome sequencing, revealing novel and intriguing features of genomes, such as single nucleotide polymorphisms and lethal mutations in both coding and non-coding regions.

Mammalian milk contains a variety of complex bioactive and nutritional components and microorganisms. These microorganisms have diverse compositions and functional roles that impact host health and disease pathophysiology, especially mastitis. The advent and use of high throughput omics technologies, including metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, metaproteomics, metametabolomics, as well as culturomics in milk microbiome studies suggest strong relationships between host phenotype and milk microbiome signatures in mastitis.

Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) entails designing molecules that could potentially interact with a specific biomolecular target and promising their potential binding. The stereo- arrangement and stereo-selectivity of small molecules (SMs)--based chemotherapeutic agents significantly influence their therapeutic potential and enhance their therapeutic advantages. CADD has been a well-established field for decades, but recent years have observed a significant shift toward acceptance of computational approaches in both academia and the pharmaceutical industry.
