A 62-year-old man presented with heliotrope rash, Gottron's sign, and mild muscle weakness. Both of his lung fields showed interstitial changes that worsened rapidly. He was diagnosed with clinical amyopathic dermatomyositis with rapidly progressive interstitial lung disease. The patient died of respiratory failure, despite the administration of immunosuppressive therapy. Autopsy revealed diffuse alveolar damage. An antibody analysis, which was performed postmortem, detected the presence of anti-melanoma differentiation-associated gene (MDA)-5 antibodies. Clinicians should note the clinical, radiologic, and serologic findings to predict anti-MDA-5 antibody-associated rapidly progressive interstitial lung disease.

Rupture of the thyrocervical trunk aneurysm into the thoracic cavity does not occur very often. It is an urgent condition due to hemorrhagic shock by massive hemothorax with potentially fatal consequences. Pregnancy and puerperium are additional risk factors for a rupture of the thyrocervical trunk aneurysm in patients with neurofibromatosis and aneurysms.

Background: Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare connective tissue disease associated with rapidly evolving interstitial lung disease (ILD), driving its mortality. Specific imaging-based biomarkers associated with the evolution of lung disease are needed to help predict and quantify ILD.
Methods: We evaluated the potential of an automated ILD quantification system (icolung) from chest CT scans, to help in quantification and prediction of ILD progression in SSc-ILD.

Objective: The aim is to describe clinical and serological features, previous and current therapies, and adverse events in four systemic sclerosis patients (SSc) who undergo autologous hematopoietic stem cells transplantation (AHSCT).
Methods: Descriptive, cross-sectional study including SSc patients according ACR/EULAR 2013 criteria. Clinical and serological data, data related to current and previous therapy and adverse events were collected from 2014 to 2023.
