Background: Paediatric renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a rare neoplasm which differs significantly in its clinico-pathological behaviour from the adult variant. The clear cell variant constitutes a relatively small histological subset of this neoplasm.

Case Report: We present a very unusual, pathologically proven case of clear cell variety of pediatric RCC which showed invasion into the pelvicalyceal system with contiguous extension up to the urinary bladder. Such a novel manifestation of paediatric RCC has not been described previously in literature. A relevant review of literature is included.

Conclusions: The aggressive biological behaviour of the paediatric RCC in our case and the consequent atypical imaging findings are distinctly unusual. These findings may represent a new aggressive variant of this rare neoplasm. The radiologist and clinician should be aware of these novel manifestations of paediatric clear cell RCC.

Introduction: Oxidative stress is an important cause of acetaminophen (APAP)-induced liver injury (AILI). Sakuranetin (Sak) is an antitoxin from the cherry flavonoid plant with good antioxidant effects. However, whether sakuranetine has a protective effect on APAP-induced liver injury is not clear.

In the past decade, the use of immune checkpoint therapy (ICT) has increased across many malignancies, including metastatic renal cell carcinoma as an option for frontline and subsequent lines of therapy. Despite the many therapeutic benefits of ICT, its use is complicated by the potential risk of immune-related adverse events (irAEs). One rare but potentially life-threatening irAE is hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH).

Introduction: Using clear explicit translatable language, we translated the Welch Emotional Connection Screen into a new universal language instrument, the . In this study, we had two aims: Aim 1 was to establish of the uWECS by comparing scores coded by primary Spanish-speaking coders using the Spanish translation of the uWECS to scores coded by bilingual, secondary Spanish-speaking coders using the oWECS. Aim 2 was to establish the in terms of oWECS and uWECS performance in tracking change in autonomic emotional connection (AEC) during the course of an intervention among preschool aged children.

It is well recognized that type II Diabetes (T2D) and overweight/obesity are established risk factors for stroke, worsening also their consequences. However, the underlying mechanisms by which these disorders aggravate outcomes are not yet clear limiting the therapeutic opportunities. To fill this gap, we characterized, for the first time, the effects of T2D and obesity on the brain repair mechanisms occurring 7 days after stroke, notably glial scarring.

Objective: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a complex and multifaceted disease that is increasingly prevalent globally. The involvement of immune cells in the tumour microenvironment has been linked to the progression of HCC, but the exact cause-and-effect relationship is not yet clear. In this study, we utilise Mendelian randomization (MR) to investigate the potential causal links between immune factors and the development of HCC.
