Efficiency of telerehabilitation on subacute stroke ambulation: a matched case-control study.

Brain Impair

January 2025

Department of Research and Innovation, Institut Guttmann - Hospital de Neurorehabilitació, Institut Universitari de Neurorehabilitació adscrit a la UAB, Cami Can Ruti s/n, 08916, Badalona, Barcelona, Spain; and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Bellaterra (Cerdanyola del Vallès), Spain; and Fundació Institut d'Investigació en Ciències de la Salut Germans Trias i Pujol, Badalona, Barcelona, Spain.

Background Stroke now represents the condition with the highest need for physical rehabilitation worldwide, with only low or moderate-level evidence testing telerehabilitation compared to in-person care. We compared functional ambulation in subacute patients with stroke following telerehabilitation and matched in-person controls with no biopsychosocial differences at baseline. Methods We conducted a matched case-control study to compare functional ambulation between individuals with stroke following telerehabilitation and in-person rehabilitation, assessed using the Functional Ambulation Categories (FAC) and the Functional Independence Measure™ (FIM).

Objective: By comparing the hip arthroplasty parameters planned with the AIHIP three-dimensional simulation surgery system, this study analyzes the accuracy of the new femoral-side "shoulder-to-shoulder" artificial anatomical marker positioning method in femoral-side prosthesis implantation and the prevention of leg length discrepancy in hip arthroplasty.

Methods: A retrospective collection of 47 patients who underwent initial total hip arthroplasty at our hospital from August 2020 to December 2022 and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria was used as the study subjects. The average age was 67.

Capacitive sensors are commonly used in superconducting gravimeters due to their high resolution and low drift. This study developed a cryogenic front-end circuit for superconducting gravimeters to reduce the negative effects of parasitic capacitance on capacitive sensors. The front-end circuit comprises a noiseless superconducting transformer and a low-noise cryogenic preamplifier, both of which are positioned adjacent to the capacitive sensor probe.

Objective: To analyze the risk factors of primary poor graft function (PGF) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) in patients with myeloid malignancies and the impact of primary PGF on survival.

Methods: The clinical data of 146 patients with myeloid malignancies who underwent allo-HSCT in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2021 were retrospectively studied. Some relevant clinical parameters which may affect the development of primary PGF after allo-HSCT were selected for univariate and multivariate analysis, as well as performed survival analysis.

Precise administration of tirofiban must be carefully considered to achieve the best treatment efficacy and maximize safety for patients. Herein, a paper spray ionization (PSI) linear ion trap (LIT) portable mass spectrometer (pMS) based point-of-care testing (POCT) technique was developed for on-site sampling, clinical testing, and immediate analysis of tirofiban blood drug concentrations. The results showed that tirofiban formed a significant and stable parent ion peak at / 441.
