Simple renal cysts can coexist with renal stones. Percutaneous removal of these stones requires special considerations. We describe the management of 2 patients with this problem and propose a simple logarithm.

Masked cryptic kidney injury (MCKI), an early stage of acute kidney injury (AKI), is challenging to detect and diagnose, especially in the modern context where toxic substances, such as surfactants, are increasingly misused. Consequently, there is an urgent need for methods for the visual diagnosis of MCKI. In this study, we synthesized environmentally friendly spirulina-derived carbon dots (SpiCDs) using spirulina as a biobased raw material through a simple hydrothermal process.

The indication for kidney transplantation over a urinary diversion (UD) for patients with severe lower urinary tract dysfunction and end-stage renal disease is a controversial issue. Thanks to advances in robot-assisted kidney transplant (RAKT) programs, the boundaries are being pushed further. We present the first RAKT series reported for patients undergoing simple cystectomy and UD for benign bladder disease.

Kidney biopsy is the gold standard to diagnose TMA in patients with renal manifestations but the prognostic significance of acute or chronic phase of the disease has not been well studied. We examined the clinical characteristics, management, and predictors of acute vs.

The etiological basis of pituitary neuroendocrine tumors is uncertain. We used Mendelian randomization technique to investigate the potential influence of several risk factors on the likelihood of developing pituitary neuroendocrine tumors. We admitted 8 risk factors, divided into 3 lifestyle factors and 5 chronic diseases as exposure factors.

Background: The lactate albumin ratio (LAR), a simple prognostic marker used in intensive care units (ICUs), combines lactate and serum albumin levels to predict patient outcomes. Despite its potential, the predictive accuracy of the LAR remains insufficiently explored. This study aimed to assess the usefulness of the LAR in predicting mortality among patients in the ICU.
