AI Article Synopsis

  • NADPH-induced lipid peroxidation in liver microsomes was reduced in cholestatic rats.
  • Cholestasis led to an increase in microsomal cholesterol levels.
  • There was no change in the phospholipid content in the livers of cholestatic rats.

Article Abstract

NADPH-induced microsomal lipid peroxidation was found to be significantly inhibited in the livers of cholestatic rats. In cholestasis, microsomal cholesterol content was increased while phospholipid content remained unchanged.
