: To analyze the clinical characteristics, trends in hospitalization, and healthcare resource utilization of pediatric patients with fecal impaction. : We utilized the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) databases, including the National Inpatient Sample (NIS) and the Kids Inpatient Database (KID) datasets from 2011 to 2019, to include all hospitalizations of patients up to 18 years of age with a primary diagnosis of (1) fecal impaction or (2) a primary diagnosis of abdominal pain or constipation with a secondary diagnosis of fecal impaction. Background: Undiagnosed and untreated atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis (ARAS) can result in end-stage kidney disease (ESKD). To obtain an accurate diagnosis, it is crucial to recognize the symptoms and signs suggesting renal artery stenosis (RAS) and perform appropriate diagnostic and treatment procedures afterward.
Case Presentation: We present a case of a 60-year-old female patient with hypertensive crisis, acute heart failure (HF), and pulmonary edema as the initial signs of acute kidney injury (AKI) caused by right RAS and left renal artery occlusion in the presence of severe aortic atherosclerosis revealed on computed tomography angiography (CTA) of the abdomen.

A previous genome-wide association study (GWAS) in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients with gastric and/or prostate cancer in their families suggested genetic loci with a shared risk for these three cancers. A second haplotype GWAS was undertaken in the same colorectal cancer patients and different controls with the aim of confirming the result and finding novel loci. The haplotype GWAS analysis involved 685 patients with colorectal cancer cases and 1642 healthy controls from Sweden.

Abdominal wall endometriosis (AWE) is a clinical disorder with unknown pathogenesis with an incidence between 0.03% and 1% in women affected by cutaneous/scar endometriosis. We investigated the pathological, molecular cytogenetic and cell proliferation features of a primary AWE developed in rectus abdominis muscle in a patient without co-existing pelvic endometriosis.
