High-pressure injection hand injuries are often overlooked, with severe complications owing to the acute inflammatory response. Prognosis for depends on the type of material injected, location of injection, involved pressure, and timing to surgical decompression and debridement. Acute management involves broad-spectrum antibiotics, tetanus prophylaxis, emergent decompression within 6 hours, and complete removal of the injected material. Most patients have residual sequelae of stiffness, pain, sensation loss, and difficulties in returning to work. The hand surgeon's role is prompt surgical intervention, early postoperative motion, and education of patient and staff regarding short- and long-term expectations.

Based on the symmetric initiation mechanism of double-wing cracks in coal rock mass induced by high-pressure electro-recoil water pressure, fracturing experiments have been performed on coal rock mass under different water pressures and discharge conditions using high-voltage electric pulse hydraulic fracturing devices. Combined with CT scans, the crack spatial distribution inside the post-break coal rock mass was analyzed and found that the edge of the water injection hole is prone to produce double-wing cracks along the drilling hole diameter. ABAQUS is used to verify the physical test and extend the test conditions, the geometric parameter change, morphological expansion rule and crack initiation mechanism of double-wing crack in coal rock mass under different discharge conditions and ground stress conditions are studied.

Characteristic Biology Resources Research Center, Northwest Institute of Plateau Biology, Chinese Academy of Science, No. 23, Xinning Road, Chengxi District, Xining, Qinghai 810001, P. R. China.

Separation of polar compounds especially with similar polarities is challenging. In the present study, three polar compounds with similar polarities, including gentiopicroside, sweroside and mangiferin, have been successfully separated from Swertia mussotii by a combination of two counter-current chromatography modes. With the selected solvent system of ethyl acetate/n-butanol/water (8/2/10, v/v), a continuous injection mode was firstly employed.

Ultrasmall micro-light-emitting diodes (μLEDs), sized below 10 μm, are indispensable to create the next-generation augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) devices. Their high brightness and low power consumption could not only enhance the user experience by providing vivid and lifelike visuals but also extend device longevity. However, a notable challenge emerges: a decrease in efficiency with a reduced size.

School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guizhou Medical University Guiyang 550004, China Engineering Research Center for Development and Application of Ethnic Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guizhou Medical University Guiyang 550004, China.

This study aims to compare the metabolic differences of baicalin and its analogues between Shuganning Injection and Scutellariae Radix extract. Twelve SD rats were randomly divided into a Shuganning Injection group and a Scutellariae Radix extract group, with 6 rats in each group. Their liver microsomes were incubated with the drugs, and then the samples were collected.

High-pressure injection injuries, although rare, are commonly discussed orthopaedic surgical emergencies. In many cases, high-pressure injection injuries can have detrimental effects on the patient. However, there are rare instances where surgical intervention may be more harmful than helpful.
